Project 5: Dare 2 Be Different Mission Centre (Location: St. Kitts – Nevis to impact Caribbean)

Project 4: The Dare 2 Be Different Academy (ST. KITTS-NEVIS)
Khrystus Wallace has been teaching classes (including Information Technology) for the last 10 years to at-risk youths and school drop outs already along with other adults who didn’t perform well at school. He has recently placed this department under Dare 2 Be Different International and is moving forward with putting FREE classes online for the Caribbean Region.
Project 3: The Dare 2 Be Different Agro-processing Centre (ST. KITTS-NEVIS)
Dare 2 Be Different International has been training youth from its small homebased setting on how to make coconut fudges, sugar cakes, jams, local fruit drinks, breadfruit and potato chips and the most innovative product – BREADFRUIT AND WHEAT FLOUR.
The ministry wants to expand from its home based setting, so it can train more individuals at a time and also increase production to supply a local, regional and international market. The Breadfruit Flour and Sweet Potato Flour are already available for sale on The Caribbean’s Auction Site – www.caribbesales.com
Project 2: Dare 2 Be Different Financial (Caribbean)
Over the years of running the Dare 2 Be Different Mission Mobilization Project, having excited many of the youths with mobilizing business workshops and training sessions and helping them with their business plans, they head to bankers to find out that they are not bankable and they get discouraged. We want to be able to assist youth business owners 18 – 35 on a very small scale to get them started, and monitor and mentor them closely with 1% - 2% loans.
Each business that we helped, will be owned by Dare 2 Be Different Financial until the debt is paid off to keep the fund VIABLE and operational for years. Some of the fund will also be used to SECURE larger loans at other institutions while we gain interest on the CVs to keep it growing.
Since we are reaching the Caribbean with our Mission Mobilization Project – www.mmskn.org, This leg of the ministry will provide small funding opportunities for youths all across the Caribbean region. Founder, Khrystus Wallace, knows the struggles for working capital for small businesses as he himself started at age 13, and also the lack of training and mentorship and will ensure that the youths get this type of assistance.

Strategy
Any of our proposed projects that receives funding will initially run for two years and would be given maximum media publicity as to keep the energy alive across the Caribbean Region and the world. Dare 2 Be Different International intends to train an estimated number of 960 participants from St. Kitts – Nevis and provide school empowerment for hundreds of school children and youth across St. Kitts – Nevis and thousands across the region through visits and webinars.
Objectives
The main objectives of our two-year projects are:
· To positively impact youth across St. Kitts – Nevis, The Region and The World using creative, innovative on the foot and technological events and activities.
· To provide training, motivation and empowerment through a variety of active programs which fall under entrepreneurship, community service and character building
· To provide positive ongoing meaningful activities for youths across the region to be involved in.
· To use the Mission Mobilization Project – www.mmskn.org to inspire entrepreneurship from the Primary School and High School Levels under the heading “CATCH THEM YOUNG” and also provide business empowerment, training and funding to youths who are not bankable under creative funding arrangements that NO CARIBBEAN COUNTRY has ever introduced, therefore not encouraging small business startups and growth among young people
· To spread our ministry’s main theme “HOPE FOR ALL – HOPE IS AHEAD” – www.hopeisahead.com, especially among young people in such a troubling, depressing, trying global economic climate where many jobs aren’t readily available and many are getting overly depressed to the point of suicide
Many of these projects are ongoing and those that are not, all things being equal, intends to take off by end of Mid-November and January, 2012
Introduction
Dare 2 Be Different International (www.d2bdifferent.com) was founded in June 2008, by Youth Advocate, Small Business Owner, Philanthropist, Author, Internet Professional and Ordained Minister, Khrystus Wallace (26) and three other passionate youths in the persons of Lemercius Wallace (23) – www.djmerci.com, Kerese Dias (24) – www.kayscorp.com and Joy Codrington (22) – www.tagdownskn.com
Wallace has a heart for youth and has been investing his time, money and other resources into their development since starting being a youth president from 13 years. He is also adamant in getting young people to be self sufficient and be small business owners like himself, who has NEVER worked for anyone. He has empowered his three founding team members to also be small business owners and provide for themselves and family.
Khrystus Wallace recently added 8 new team members which now comprise of some older adults to help carry his BIG VISION for the Caribbean and the world forward. Meet them on www.d2bdifferent.com and click TEAM.
Wallace, in leading his team to make one of the BIGGEST IMPACTS in St. Kitts – Nevis, across the region and the world using on the ground events and using the technology, has always contended that organizations need to show donors that they are doing a great work first and are able to support themselves up to a certain point before approaching them for funding.
Wallace has done just that. His small four (4) member team has never asked government or businesses in St. Kitts – Nevis or across the world for help, but pooled a portion of their profits together to carry out ALL their many events over the last 4 years. (2008 – 2012)
As Dare 2 Be Different International’s name grows, as it leads the way AS THE MOST ACTIVE, UP-TO-DATE, CREATIVE, TECHNOLOGICAL YOUTH GROUP in St. Kitts – Nevis and across the region, the demand and request to participate, plan programs and events for schools, other youth groups and provide training continues to arise and the ministry does not in anyway intend to back down with regards to IMPACTING YOUTH in a NON-DISCRIMATORY WAY, although the group is gospel based.
Khrystus became president of The Verchilds High School (St. Kitts) Youths in Action at 13 years old and made one of the biggest impacts during his time at high school. At 15 years old, he was inducted as president of a church’s Children’s Training Union and served there for 6 years. During his tenure, from early as 15 years, the first year he took over, he planned summer camps that took the children and youth island hopping. At such a young age, he packed church halls for all his events, dramas that he wrote himself, Easter, Christmas, Harvest programmes. His sing-spirations, pageants etc drew large St. Kitts – Nevis crowds everytime.
In 2008, at 21, he founded his own youth organization Dare 2 Be Different International – www.d2bdifferent.com and was the first gospel organization in St. Kitts-Nevis to launch with a 21 year old preacher, preaching his own crusade in August 2008. Wallace, a tech-saavy, led the way by not only having a tent crusade, but carried it live on www.d2bdifferent.com for the world and also on TBN’s Radio Paradise in Nevis. He went further and installed telephone prayer lines underneath the tenth and his team took calls from all over the world, even from within Caribbean Prison cells.
This is Khrystus’ heart – using the technology, along with other creative, innovative events to make an impact.
Wallace is a Youth Icon in St. Kitts – Nevis, having started his first business – T-shirt Printing at age 13, while in high school using his mother’s hand iron. He has since grown the business to www.kvkenterprises.com and opened a small business in Florida-USA – The Supply Shop Inc – www.thesupplyshopinc.com which he uses on a small scale as an entry point for his t-shirt printing and souvenir product business.
Wallace’s businesses have been seriously impacted by the global economic downturn, but he is NOT GIVING UP, because that is his main theme that he uses as he gives motivational speeches at graduations, schools, business places etc and the main theme of many of his sermons. He intends to fight to the very end and come out a success, which would even be more of a testimony and example to youths.
In 2010, while Wallace was 24, The Government of St. Kitts-Nevis, noticing his energy, hired him on a consultancy-training basis to SINGLE-HANDEDLY use his innovation and Compudoctors Training School – www.thecompudoctors.com to provide Information Technology Training to over 150 young people in a government run – Youth Empowerment Programme. Wallace was commended by Prime Minister of St. Kitts-Nevis, Dr. Denzil Douglas for training the most youth in that program alone.
Wallace, an innovator and youth advocate, went the extra mile and not only provided Information Technology Training, but added a Business Component to his programme that taught ALL participants key business skills. He helped many write their business plans and get Small Business Funding at local banking institutions.
As early as 2008, The Caribbean’s Top Financial Regulating Body has been using Khrystus Wallace as motivational speaker for some of its Business Empowerment Workshops and also as service provider. See: http://www.eccb-centralbank.org/News/press2.asp?pressID=283
Khrystus is a well sought after energetic motivational speaker, preacher and mentor and he isn’t afraid to speak out on issues that affect youth.

The write up above can only account for 1% - 2% of the youth impact activities that Wallace has been doing since he was 13 years old and that his ministry has been doing for the past 4 years. A good 90% of everything is recording on picture or video footage.
This is the first time after 13 years in ministry, which includes 4 years running his own ministry, that President Wallace is approaching any organization for grant assistance because Dare 2 Be Different International has been doing it all alone and craves your support.
